VOLUNTEERS MUST SIGN UP FOR A MINIMUM OF TWO (2) SHIFTS OVER 4 DAYS AND THESE SHIFTS SHOULD ALL BE WITHIN THE SAME AREA.

Dear Festival Volunteer:

The 37th Annual Detroit Jazz Festival (September 2-September 5) goes from Hart Plaza to Campus Martias in downtown Detroit. With four stages of non-stop music, it remains the largest free jazz festival in the country. 

The spirit of community involvement has long contributed to the success of the Detroit Jazz Festival.  A festival of this magnitude wouldn’t be possible without a dedicated corps of volunteers. Volunteers are an integral part of the festival and their dedication and hard work is deeply appreciated.

Due to the endless fun and memorable experiences, many of our volunteers return year after year, but we still need more.

If you love jazz music, people, behind-the-scenes involvement, the hustle and bustle of the entertainment business, and giving back to the community, DETROIT JAZZ FESTIVAL WANTS YOU!

We are looking for support in the areas of Artist Support, Transportation, Merchandising, Operations, Media Support and Adminstration. Be sure to throughly read the job descriptions, before you make your selection.  Volunteers receive a special tee shirt, a discount on Official Detroit Jazz Festival merchandise, an invitation to the annual volunteer party and an earful of great music.
